Bihar cancels 2 bridge companies contracts for getting Chinese companions

The contracts of two out of the 4 contractors who ended up selected for the design of a new bridge parallel to Mahatma Gandhi Setu have been cancelled as they had Chinese associates, reported Bihar Minister Nand Kishore Yadav.&#13

The contractors had been requested to change their associates right before the cancellation of the contracts, but they could not.&#13

“7 contractors had used out of which 3 had been disqualified and out of the remaining 4, two experienced Chinese corporations as associates, so we questioned them to change their associates but they couldn’t, so we cancelled their tender. We have called for programs once more on June 27, for which the very last day is July 29,” reported Nand Kishore Yadav.&#13

“It is an important bridge, and if the participation of overseas nations improves, it can be dangerous. This conclusion was created after a lot of considering and that’s why we have retendered,” he included.&#13
